ACF launches “A Home for Every Child,” a national initiative that aims to right-size the ratio of foster homes to the number of kids in the foster care system.

The CFSR Technical Bulletin #14 gives states a choice to stay in the traditional Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) model or opt into the new approach designed to generate meaningful, timely data and inform modernization.

ACF sent letters to 39 governors calling for immediate action to protect vulnerable foster youth in their states. These letters highlight the pressing issue of state child welfare agencies diverting foster youths’ earned Social Security survivor benefits.
