The National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect
The National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect (NDACAN) serves as a central repository for datasets related to child abuse and neglect and makes these datasets available for secondary analysis to researchers. Their holdings include all of the major datasets reported to the Children’s Bureau (e.g., AFCARS, NCANDS, and NYTD) as well as data collected through the Children’s Bureau’s discretionary grants or privately-funded evaluation projects. NDACAN also provides analytic and technical support, workshops, and researcher networking opportunities.
