Model Language for States and Tribes to Amend IV-E Prevention Program Plans for New Programs and Services Rated by the IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has released pre-reviewed model language that States and Tribes may use to amend their Title IV-E five-year prevention program plans and add newly approved services rated by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse.

The resource includes sample program descriptions and implementation requirements for two well-supported programs:

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) (PDF) (Well-Supported)
• Promoting First Relationships (PFR) (PDF) (Well-Supported, Re-Review)

States and Tribes may incorporate these programs into their existing Title IV-E prevention plans through the plan amendment process. Use of the pre-reviewed language is optional but can help streamline federal review and expedite approval for Title IV-E prevention purposes.

Jurisdictions may also supplement the model language with information specific to their state or tribal implementation plans, as appropriate.
