FY 2023 Federal Offset and Pre-Offset Notice Program Fees

SUBJECT: Federal Offset and Pre-Offset Notice Program Fees in FY 2023

NOTE: At the request of the Department of Treasury Bureau of the Fiscal Service, the fee amounts have been removed. 

Dear Colleague:

The fee for federal tax refund offsets in FY 2023 will be $XX.XX per offset. The fee for a federal administrative offset will be $XX.XX.

Each year, the Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service reviews its operational costs and fee structure. This year’s review resulted in a tax refund offset fee reduction and an administrative offset fee increase.

The OCSS Pre-Offset Notice fee will remain at $0.52 per notice in FY 2023.

Fiscal year 2023 begins on Oct. 1, 2022, and ends Sept. 30, 2023.
