The Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Preliminary Data Report is now available along with the Excel file of data tables for your convenience. The data represents a preliminary assessment of the program’s progress toward meeting goals and objectives and is provided as a resource for the child support community.
The report includes data from all state child support programs on collections, expenditures, paternities and orders established, and other program statistics. This preliminary report does not include tribal program data, which will be in the FY 2024 Annual Report to Congress.
Here are national data highlights from the FY 2024 preliminary report:

- $28.6 billion, or 97% of distributed collections went directly to families
- 12.2 million children were served by the program
- 87% of cases in the caseload had orders established
- 65% of current support due was collected
- 63% of cases with arrears had collections
- 100% was the IV-D Paternity Establishment Percentage (PEP) rate
- 94% was the statewide PEP rate

The information in this report does not consider the 2024 data reliability audits.
State officials should carefully review the data to ensure that it agrees with your timely submissions to OCSS. Please contact your regional office with any concerns.
