National Technical Assistance Center for Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5 TA)

The National Center for the Strategic Support of Preschool Development Grants Birth Through Five (PDG B—5 TA Center) supports states and territories in building, enhancing, and expanding B—5 mixed-delivery systems and high-quality B—5 programs and services. All states and territories can access general technical assistance (TA) from the PDG B-5 TA Center. PDG B-5 TA Specialists provide support to grantees based on experience implementing these grants and through tapping into the broad range of expertise offered by other federally funded early childhood training and technical assistance centers and nationally recognized subject matter experts.

Our guiding principles for technical assistance include adult learning theory, implementation science, culturally responsive practices, and continuous quality improvement processes. TA activities are designed to be actionable to support change in knowledge, practices, or policies. The PDG B-5 TAC offers:

  • Universal TA to support all PDG B-5 grantees through webinars, resources, and an annual convening.
  • Targeted TA over time through smaller group activities such as learning communities and affinity groups.
  • Individualized support such as coaching or consultation as grantees work toward their goals.
