ECD Releases New IM on Supporting Food Security and Access to Indigenous Foods for Children and Families in Tribal Early Childhood Programs
The Office of Child Care, Office of Early Childhood Development, and the Office of Head Start published a joint Information Memorandum that details ways that ACF's early childhood funds may be used to connect young children and families with traditional Indigenous foods and food practices, including CCDF, AIAN Head Start, and Tribal MIECHV.

New Awards for Tribal Home Visiting Total Over $3 Million to Support Pregnant Women and Families with Young Children
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) announced over $3 million in new awards to six tribal entities for the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program. Tribal MIECHV develops and strengthens tribal capacity to promote the health and well-being of pregnant women and families with children from birth to kindergarten entry in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.
Tribal MIECHV Outcomes Dashboard
The Office of Early Childhood Development (ECD) has launched the Tribal MIECHV Outcomes Dashboard, a first-of-its-kind tool developed in partnership with Tribal MIECHV grant recipients. This unprecedented resource celebrates the strengths, priorities, and progress of Tribal MIECHV programs. The dashboard offers a transparent and accessible view of program outcomes while upholding the privacy, dignity, and sovereignty of each participating Tribal community.
ECD prioritizes early childhood development across ACF programs through collaboration and leveraging partnership opportunities through programs, policy and technical assistance.
