Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB)

FYSB supports organizations that work to promote youth well-being, prevent & end youth homelessness, & support a holistic adolescent approach by fostering collaborative partnerships across communities; leading in partnership with youth & young adults; & supporting data-driven practices.

Programs & Services

  • Runaway and Homeless Youth

    Each year, thousands of U.S. youth run away from home, are asked to leave their homes or become homeless. FYSB supports street outreach, emergency shelters and longer-term transitional living and maternity group home programs to serve and protect these young people.

  • Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention

    To prevent pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases among adolescents, FYSB supports state, Tribal and community efforts to teach abstinence and contraceptive education.
