Runaway and Homeless Youth Program
Each year, thousands of U.S. youth run away from home, are asked to
leave their homes or become homeless. Through the Runaway and
Homeless Youth Program (RHY), the Family and Youth Services Bureau
supports street outreach, emergency shelters and longer-term
transitional living and maternity group home programs to serve and
protect these young people.

Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program
To prevent pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases among
adolescents, the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (APP) Program supports
state, Tribal, and community efforts to promote sexual risk avoidance and
personal responsibility education. In addition to providing culturally relevant and
age-appropriate sex education, APP provides adulthood preparation education
on topics such as financial literacy, healthy relationships, and healthy life skills to
help youth reach their goals for future success.
The Exchange
The Exchange serves as a resource hub for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention
(APP) Program grantees, partners, and stakeholders to learn, connect, and
create materials to increase the visibility and impact of their efforts to prevent
