Executive Summary:

This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) announcement governs the proposed award of mandatory formula grants under the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) to Native American tribes (including Alaska Native villages) and tribal organizations. The purposes of these grants are to assist tribes with the following efforts: 1) to increase public awareness about primary and secondary prevention of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence; and 2) to provide immediate shelter and supportive services for victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence, and their dependents (42 U.S.C. 10401(b)(1)-(2)).
This NOFO sets forth the application requirements, the application process, and other administrative and fiscal requirements for grants in fiscal year (FY) 2026, including an optional checklist to assist applicants in reviewing and submitting a complete application package (see Appendix B).
