PURPOSE
The purpose of this Action Transmittal is to share that the Office of Community Services (OCS) has updated the Community Economic Development Planning (CED-P) Performance Progress Report (PPR) (PDF) and to make grant recipients aware of upcoming available training and technical assistance regarding this change. The updated CED-P PPR and instructions (PDF) can be found online in the CED Planning Grant toolkit module.
The updated PPR will help CED-P grant recipients and federal program staff monitor progress toward achieving project goals. For example, it includes updated requests for information on project activities, challenges, and specific capacity-building activities, such as community and stakeholder engagement, economic development visioning, and identification of additional funding opportunities. The new form also requests details about partnerships, market analysis, supportive services, and other aspects of CED- P job creation projects.
NEW REPORT MATERIALS AND ACTION
The Community Economic Development Planning (CED-P) Performance Progress Report (PPR) (PDF) is a PDF accessible online. Grant recipients are required to download the form, fill in project information updates, and submit the PPR online through GrantSolutions.gov.
CED-P grant recipients are also required to use this new form beginning with the PPR due January 30, 2025, which covers the reporting period of October 1 to December 31, 2024.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Reporting periods and submission deadlines will stay the same as in previous years.

TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
To support grant recipients as they use the updated CED-P PPR, OCS has released an on-demand online training video, CED-Planning PPR Training.
OCS will also host an office hour in which federal staff will provide an overview of the new PPR, answer questions, and offer guidance on completing and submitting the report. This office hour will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET. An invitation to join this office hour via Microsoft Teams will be sent out to all CED-P grant recipients prior to the call. Please watch the CED-P PPR Training video before attending this session.
