LIHWAP And Water Service Providers:
Water service providers play a key role in ensuring low-income households can benefit from LIHWAP. Without their participation, low-income households cannot access LIHWAP services. By becoming a participating service provider with LIHWAP, water service providers can address the water and wastewater needs in their communities, while also reducing the total amount of outstanding past due balances.

Participating water service providers work with state/ territory/ tribal LIHWAP grantees to assist eligible households.
Water Utility Affordability Survey
Water and Wastewater Service Providers, we need your input! There is not currently a national source of data related to water disconnections, rates, feed and customer arrears. We are conducting a survey to better understand the scope of water and wastewater debt so we can assist households and utilities with getting the money and support they need.
