Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE)

OCSE is the federal agency that oversees the national child support program. We partner with federal, state, tribal and local governments and others to promote parental responsibility so that children receive support from both parents even when they live in separate households.

Programs & Services

  • Parents

Our office helps connect families with local child support programs that locate parents, establish paternity, and set child support orders.

  • Employers

Employers play an important part in enforcing child support orders and are mandated to comply with federal regulations.

  • Partners

Many public and private partners play an important role in helping parents meet the financial and emotional needs of their children.

  • States

We partner with states to help serve families and promote parental responsibility.

  • Tribes

We partner with tribes to help serve Native American families consistent with tribal values and cultures.
