The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) funds the ongoing operation of national, toll-free, 24/7 hotlines and helplines. These lines are often the first point of contact for someone in crisis — offering an immediate, confidential connection to safety planning, local referrals, and support.
They serve adult and youth victims of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence; family and household members; and others who may be trying to help, including advocates, law enforcement, and community members.
