The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) is the primary federal funding source dedicated to providing immediate shelter and supportive services for victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence and their dependents. 

The National Domestic Violence Hotline, funded by FYSB, is a compassionate, knowledgeable resource focused on shifting power back to those experiencing domestic or dating violence through human connection and practical help every day of the year. 

States and territories have received almost $35 million in supplemental funding under the CARES Act to support FVPSA grantees during the COVID-19 public health emergency. 

The Code of Federal Regulations guides grantees in the policies that govern the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program.

Every year, FYSB funds a range of discretionary programs coordinated by the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program.

A Guide for State and Territorial Administrators

This guide will assist state and territorial administrators in working with FVPSA grants.

The Affordable Care Act allows survivors of domestic violence access to services to treat chronic health conditions often associated with abuse.

This 1-hour interactive eLearning module describes the dynamics and common tactics that characterize domestic violence, provides an overview of the scope and impact on individuals and society, explores the underlying factors that allow domestic violence to exist, offers insight into the various risks and choices that survivors face, and shares how to be part of the solution.

This memo highlights the potential role of financial capability services in domestic violence economic advocacy and provides information about financial capability resources that can be used to enhance programming on behalf of families impacted by domestic violence.

In August, the Division of Family Violence Prevention and Services (FVPSA Program) along with the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) hosted the Tribal Peer-to-Peer Meeting in Denver.
