OHSEPR determines when to initiate an emergency repatriation operation during a U.S. Department of State-coordinated return of U.S. citizens and their dependents to the United States. OHSEPR will provide written notification in the form of an activation notice to states, and a deactivation notice when emergency operations conclude.
Activities to support an emergency repatriation incident include establishing and operating an emergency repatriation center (ERC) and providing temporary assistance and case management to repatriates.
More information can be found in OHSEPR’s Emergency Repatriation Information Memorandum, which provides policy guidance for emergency repatriation operations under the U.S. Repatriation Program, including agency roles and responsibilities and allowable activities and costs.
The Emergency Repatriation Eligibility Application Form (RR-01)

Evacuees must fill out and sign Form RR-01: Emergency Repatriation Eligibility Application to apply for the Program, and for state(s) to submit reimbursement requests for temporary assistance provided at the ERC.

Form for Requesting Cost Approval and Federal Support (RR-08)

Common costs for emergency repatriation operations can also include congregate medical services, equipment, ERC space, and security. States should use Form RR-08: Emergency Repatriation Request for Cost Approval and Federal Support for cost pre-approvals and federal support requests during an incident.
