State Emergency Repatriation Plan (SERP)

SERPs describe state processes they use for coordination, notification, deployment of state assets, and delivery of emergency repatriation services when requested by OHSEPR.
OHSEPR works with states to develop SERPs and can provide technical assistance. The State Emergency Repatriation Plan Development Guide provides overarching guidance to help states develop and maintain an effective SERP.
State Capabilities

The Emergency Repatriation State Capabilities Framework provides strategic-level guidance, leading emergency management and human services practices, and recommended actions for states and later-incorporated U.S. territories. The Framework outlines eight capabilities that are critical to building and maintaining successful state emergency repatriation efforts.
Together, the capabilities in this framework enable states to meet the immediate health and welfare needs of repatriates as they return to the United States. States are encouraged to use this guidance in conjunction with other resources published by OHSEPR to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency repatriation incidents.
Planning, Training & Exercises

OHSEPR works with states to conduct planning, training, and exercise activities in support of the U.S. Repatriation Program. These activities are an important part of ensuring a state is prepared to respond to potential emergency repatriation events. More information can be found in OHSEPR's Emergency Repatriation Planning, Training, and Exercises Information Memorandum.
Please send emails to Repatriation@acf.hhs.gov to request training and technical assistance for planning, training, and exercises.
