OPRE studies ACF programs and the populations they serve through rigorous research and evaluation projects. These include evaluations of existing programs, evaluations of innovative approaches to helping children and families with low-incomes, research syntheses, and descriptive and exploratory studies.

We Support Responsible Data Management & Use.
OPRE is dedicated to the responsible management and use of data to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of human services programs. OPRE provides expert advice to ACF on matters related to data use and reuse, privacy and confidentiality, and the sharing of information.

The Division of Data Governance focuses on data standards setting, ACF-wide Paperwork Reduction Act policy, open data initiative work, existing and emerging data governance policy issues, and coordination of the ACF Data Governance Council.
