About the OPRE Innovative Methods Meeting

OPRE organizes an annual Innovative Methods Meeting to convene scientists and research experts to advance critical topics in social science research methodology. These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss how innovative methodologies can be applied to policy-relevant questions and help to ensure that government-supported research represents the most scientifically rigorous approaches available.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) ’s National Research Conference on Early Childhood 2024 (NRCEC 2024) will be held June 24-26, 2024, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.

This 3-day event will present the latest research surrounding Head Start, Early Head Start, child care, home visiting, child welfare, special education, pre-kindergarten, early elementary, and other early childhood programs.

About NRCEC

Since 1991, ACF’s National Research Conference on Early Childhood (formerly known as Head Start’s National Research Conference on Early Childhood) has highlighted cutting-edge research on families with low incomes raising young children.

The conference supports dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and program and administrative staff. This active dialogue strengthens education for young children, brings the latest information to those establishing national policies for families with low incomes, and contributes to the development of a meaningful research agenda in the early care and education field.

RECS 2024

The 22nd Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency (RECS) will be held May 29-31, 2024, at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

RECS 2024 will provide a valuable opportunity to hear the latest findings from evaluations of social welfare programs and policies, discuss ways to incorporate findings into the design and implementation of programs, and develop strategies for future evaluations. The conference is being planned as an in-person event with select sessions shared virtually.
