Introduction

Legal professionals who participate in child welfare court hearings can benefit from understanding how the quality of a hearing affects the case process and outcomes. Having this information can help them prepare for and participate in hearings. Research is starting to explore what activities and behaviors are associated with child welfare hearing quality. This document highlights what is currently known and gaps in understanding.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to describe research on child welfare court hearing quality and how it affects case processing and outcomes.
