Our Mission

The Office on Trafficking in Persons works to address human trafficking by leading and supporting systems that prevent trafficking and protect people who have experienced trafficking—helping them rebuild their lives and strengthen their health and well-being.

National Human Trafficking Prevention Month

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and take action to prevent human trafficking. This year’s theme, “Stronger Connections. Stronger Futures.” reminds us that our everyday connections play a vital role in preventing human trafficking.
