The Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) provides free training and technical assistance (T/TA) to professionals in health care, social services, and other key sectors to help prevent, identify, and respond to human trafficking. 

T/TA is delivered through in-house subject matter experts, the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center (NHTTAC), and a network of funding recipients.

OTIP’s NHTTAC delivers training and technical assistance to strengthen the public health response to human trafficking.

Through the SOAR National Training Program and other initiatives, NHTTAC provides both on-demand and customized T/TA by engaging a diverse network of subject matter experts, including individuals with lived experience in human trafficking. 

By partnering closely with these expert consultants, NHTTAC ensures its training and technical assistance are:

  • Informed by evidence-based approaches
