IM # 126: A CSBG Information Memorandum that provides guidance on CSBG grantees' use of CSBG funds for coordination with community partners for the implementation of Summer Jobs+ programs and activities. Departments and Offices across the Federal government will be supporting Summer Jobs+, an initiative to encourage and support businesses, non-profits, and government to work together to provide pathways to employment for low-income and disconnected youth in the summer of 2012. In coming weeks, a Summer Jobs+ Bank will be posted for youth to access postings of jobs available through the Summer Jobs+ program.
To inform States and U.S. Territories of the CSBG application requirements for FY 2011. CSBG applications shall be submitted to the Office of Community Services by September 1, 2010 (if you did not submit an application which covered two fiscal years in the prior year).
To inform Indian Tribes and Tribal Organizations of the CSBG application requirements for FY 2011 and to provide a framework for the introduction of a suggested format and “Outline for Model Tribe and Tribal Organization CSBG Application”.
To inform States and U.S. Territories of the CSBG application requirements for FY 2012. CSBG applications shall be submitted to the Office of Community Services (OCS) by September 1, 2011 if an application which covered two fiscal years was not submitted in the prior year.
